DJ Andy'K AKX 2026
The DJ booth of the DISTANCE // ZERO Virtual Studio: two media players with large jog wheels and tilted touch screens either side of a four-channel mixer. Software by Andy'K Music Lab.
It stands on the Melbourne side of the set, in cool white and ice-blue light, with the DJ Andy'K logo on the mixer. It really plays: you load two tracks, start them and blend one into the other, and the booth in the studio plays along.
Getting started
- Open ♪ Music station in the bar at the bottom, then the DJ booth tab.
- Each deck already has a track: Deck 1 DISTANCE // ZERO, Deck 2 Three-Note Signature. Choose any other from the Track list.
- Press ▶ on a deck. The music starts, the camera goes to the booth and the studio lights switch to the Music look.
The decks
| Control | What it does |
| Track | The soundtrack of DISTANCE // ZERO, the Austrian versions, the signature tracks and every DJ Andy'K release. Choosing a track loads it and stops the deck |
| ▶ / ❚❚ | Start or pause the deck |
| CUE | As on a club player. While the deck plays: back to the cue point and stop. While it is stopped: the cue point is set where the deck is. A new track's cue point is its start |
| Position | The bar under the track: drag to move through the track; the time shows where you are and how long the track is |
| Channel | The deck's channel fader, its level in the mix |
At the end of a track the deck goes back to its cue point and stops, ready to be started again.
The mixer
- Channel faders: Deck 1 plays through channel 2, Deck 2 through channel 3. In the studio those two faders move with yours; up, away from the DJ, is louder.
- Crossfader (between the decks in the panel): left plays Deck 1 only, right Deck 2 only. In the middle both play at full level, so a blend never dips in volume.
- The level meters show the mix as it is heard.
A first transition
- Crossfader to the left. Start Deck 1.
- On Deck 2, choose the next track, move to where it should come in, and press CUE to set the point.
- At the right moment start Deck 2 and slide the crossfader to the middle: both tracks play together.
- Slide on to the right. Deck 1 is out of the mix; pause it or press CUE to send it back to its cue point.
The booth in the studio
- The platter of a deck that plays turns at about 33 rpm; a stopped deck stands still.
- The channel 2 and 3 faders and the crossfader sit where you put them.
- The lights, the LED strips and the LED wall follow the music.
- The touch screens show each deck's waveform, BPM, time and key. The fronts carry the DJ Andy'K logo and AKX 2026.
One source at a time
- Starting a deck pauses the soundtrack player; starting the soundtrack stops the decks.
- Simulate on air stops the decks: the simulation plays its own show.
- The piano can be played over the decks.
Where the music comes from
Nothing is copied into the Virtual Studio. The soundtrack streams from distancezeroshow.com, DJ Andy'K's releases from djandykofficial.com, only while a deck plays. Nothing is recorded, and nothing you play is sent anywhere.
If something does not work
- No sound: browsers start sound only after a click on the page; press ▶ again. Check the volume of your computer.
- “This track could not be loaded”: the track's site could not be reached; choose another track or try again later.
- The decks stopped: the soundtrack or the on-air simulation was started; press ▶ on the deck again.
